CITY OF POREČ, ŽATIKA SPORT CENTER
With the multifunctional sport center Žatika, the city of Poreč, as well as Istria, gained a true gem when it comes to architecture, sports, entertainment, culture and economics. It is located just off the road near the exit from the city of Poreč in the direction of Pula and the Istrian Y and along the road Vrsar-Novigrad.
The sport center itself consists of a large main hall with an auditorium which you access by descending the stairs from the entrance hall. The fixed seating area is located on three sides of the sports court – on the south, west and east side.
The overall capacity of the fixed seating area is 1,898 seats, 46 seats for VIP visitors and 46 wheelchair spaces.
1. How to get to Poreč?
Poreč has a well-developed infrastructure so you will have no difficulty arriving there by car.
If you are coming from the north, follow: Ljubljana – Črni Kal – border crossing Požane – Buzet – Vižinada – Poreč.
If you are coming from the east, follow: Zagreb – Rijeka – Učka Tunnel – Pazin – Baderna – Poreč.
If you are coming from the south you should follow: Pula – Vodnjan – Bale – Sv. Lovreč – Poreč.
If you decide to travel by plane, your destination is Pula Airport, located just 50 km from the city. Once you land, you can continue your journey by bus, taxi or rent-a-car.
If you choose to travel by bus, there are regular lines from Zagreb, Pula, Split or Dubrovnik. You can also get to Poreč by train from Ljubljana to Buzet or Pula.
If you decide to travel from Zagreb, you can go to Pazin via Rijeka , which is located only 30 km from Poreč.
You can also arrive from Italy by train.
2. Where is the Sport Fest Conference held?
The Sport Fest Conference takes place in the small hall of the Žatika sport center, right next to the fair. The entrance to the Conference is separate from the main entrance to the fair and it is necessary to have a valid entry pass.
3. Where can you park during your stay at Sport Fest?
In front of the Žatika Sports center there is a large gravel parking lot that is open and free of charge for all the participants and visitors of Sport Fest. If you are staying at one of our partner-sponsors` hotels, you can park your vehicle in front of the hotel and walk to Žatika.
4. When to set-up you booth and when to dismantle it?
All exhibitors have the possibility of a set-up period that begins the day before the opening of Sport Fest from 7 am to 9 pm. The booths need to be dismantled in the period after the official closing of the fair from 5 pm to 9 pm or the day after from 7 am to 9 pm.
5. What are the JUMP awards?
The first JUMP awards were given out during Sport Fest in 2018 in the following 5 categories: Sport Tourism, Urban Sports Infrastructure, Innovation in Sports, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sports Marketing and Sports Events. The JUMP awards were introduced in order to draw attention to and reward individuals and organizations from all social spheres that promote and improve sports through their work and projects. The award ceremony will take place at this year’s Sport Fest in Poreč.
